The couples that book me are always down to earth, normal people. Years ago I stopped showing idealistic photos on my website. To no surprise, people who want that stopped booking me.

Things I focus on:

❌ long bridal party shoots that kill the flow of the day
❌ making the day all about the photos
❌ awkward posing
❌ ticking boxes that you don’t care about

These days, the folks I hear from are looking for a photographer who focuses on people and lets the day play out naturally.

Beyond wedding photography, I run two marketplace sites, Auckland Weddings and NZ Venues and a corporate event photography business called Smoke. I reside in Hobsonville, Auckland with my wife Amber (of Perspectives Photo + Cinema) and our son Arizona.
